Ewan Parry - Post Production Sound

I originally provided sound design for theatre.  While studying a BA in Drama & Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway University I provided sound design for numerous productions, including Inform Theatre’s The Big Half the small ha’f and Hospitals and Other Buildings that Catch Fire, which was taken to the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe and 2006 National Student Drama Festival.

I have since created sound designs for short films and animations including Rolighed, winner of the 2006 International Manga and Animation Festival, and Momodou Touray’s 2008 short film Sweet Mother.

In 2008 I completed an MA in Soundtrack Production at Bournemouth Media School.  The course was a great opportunity to work with animators and film-makers, and to learn alongside other sound designers and composers to build upon my technical and theoretical understanding of sound and the moving image.  I am committed to gaining further industry experience to enhance my knowledge and skills in audio post production.

I am also known as the guitarist of Talanas, the London-based progressive metal band.  Working in the band has given me a great deal of further experience with recording and audio production, working alongside established producers, and is also a great creative outlet for sound design ideas, incorporating innovative sampling and sound shaping ideas.
